Sun iMessenger: Chat with your loved ones via SMS!

Gone are the days when you had to spend a fortune in phone bills or on mobile internet fees to keep in touch with friends and family around the world.  There is now a single service that integrates all the popular web chat platforms and makes it a snap to send messages and chat on any phone model worldwide.

Launched in 2006 and now wildly popular, Sun iMessenger is a breakthrough service that makes it possible to communicate with anyone from anywhere in the world, as long as they’re a Sun mobile subscriber.  To do this, SunIM uses the text messaging feature of a phone, translating mobile chat into text messages seamlessly, and giving regular cellular phone users access to a service that would usually only be available to people with smart phones.

The service also allows you to send messages using your laptop, smart phone, or computer.  It integrates several platforms: Yahoo Messenger, Facebook chat, MSN, AIM, ICQ, and, just recently, Gmail chat, making all your accounts available to you on one sign-in page.   It is, to date, the only platform to do so.

Getting SUNiM service on your phone cannot be simpler.  There’s nothing that you need to download and install, and there are no complicated codes to punch in. All a user has to do is to text SUNiM to 2746 from a phone using a Sun Cellular sim card. After a few minutes, you will receive clear, step-by-step instructions to help you get started.

SUNiM is also very affordable.  To celebrate the first day of your SUNiM subscription, the first 24 hours will be completely free of charge.  To top it off, if you invite your friends to use Sun iMessenger, you can also get free internet hours.  For regular text replies, Sun iM only charges P 0.50, even less than a regular text message.  But if you’d like to stay connected all day, there’s an option that gives you unlimited access for 24 hours, for only P20!  Other payment options are P100 for seven days and P300 for a month.  There are no hidden charges or extra fees, as users are charged only for messages that they reply to or for the time that they buy.  Because of this, Sun iM is currently the most cost-effective chat mobile service available.

With Sun iM, you don’t have to wait in front of a computer to catch messages, or spend so much to send and receive them.  It’s easy to use, very affordable, and best of all, it allows you to be reached anytime of the day, anywhere you are, through your choice of platform.  It’s the ultimate

Spicing up the Kitchen With Less Heat

Literally dozens of pressure cooker recipes exist for those who prefer this lightning fast method of cooking over the traditional convection oven. KitchenAid® cookware offers another bonus when it comes to reducing heat and saving cooking time.

Pressure cooker quick recipes, such as that for beef stew, cut down on cooking time by at least two hours. The total time for this family favorite, from start to finish, is a mere 25 minutes. The secret behind this rapid readiness is the locking lid on the cooker. It increases the temperature at which the food cooks, while holding in moist steam -- this tenderizes the ingredients.

You can use your pressure cooker for recipes, preparing something as simple as pork chops to a finer dish such as coq au vin. Whether it is just your family you are trying to please or guests you want to impress, you cannot go wrong using this method.

For novices and serious cooks alike, KitchenAid ovenproof cookware is a must-have, especially when trying to reduce cooking time and the amount of heat you generate in the kitchen. These sets are the finest that you can find, known for their long-term durability, scratch resistance and fast cooking times. This reduces the amount of time you spend in the kitchen. One of the nicest features, though, is that they are oven safe up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. You can brown your meat on the stove top, then finish your dish in the oven.

No one enjoys slaving over a stove for hours at a time. This is what makes pressure cookers and KitchenAid cookware essential components in your kitchen arsenal.

A-list Holidays in the Algarve

Portugal’s Algarve is known for many reasons. Think Algarve and some people will instantly think of its golden sands and sparkling blue seas. Others will picture days spent surfing in the frothy Atlantic swells or battling the stiff coastal breezes on a windsurfing board. Still more think of taking a leisurely game of eighteen holes, developing a t-shirt sun-tan and feeling unusually relaxed even when the ball disappears into yet another bunker...

If you’ve got the kids in tow, the Algarve is hard to beat. Family holidays in the Algarve typically revolve around the bubbly coastal resorts, such as lively Albufeira with its boundless energy, plentiful beaches and long list of things to see and do. Or there’s quieter Carvoeiro, where days spent lazing on the golden sands or hiring a car to tour the surrounding area is generally high on the priority list, and Praia da Rocha - which is all about sunbathing, building sandcastles and generally relaxing. For a touch of luxury, head to Vilamoura with its gorgeous marina, pastel-coloured buildings and fashionable boutiques.

If you’re hoping to book package holidays to the Algarve, you’ll find a wonderful array of choice. Where families are concerned this is generally the best and most convenient way to travel, as your transport requirements and accommodation are all included - meaning there’s no fussing over trains at the airport or bartering with taxi-drivers. Plus, most package tour operators offer a healthy choice of deals. These might be the last-minute kind which are perfect if you’re the spontaneous type. Or if you book in advance you’ll usually find plenty of special offers on next summer’s holidays - ranging from free kids’ places to discounted hotel upgrades.

Whatever you fancy, the Algarve is certainly an A-list destination for families, sun-seekers, beach bums and just about everyone in-between.

Find cheap winter holidays in the sun

There is always something tremendously satisfying about setting off from the UK in the winter months and heading over to one of the more sun-soaked parts of the world, whether it's the pure shores of the Caribbean or the one of the finest hotspots in the Canaries. There are cheap deals to be had on winter holidays in the sun wherever you decide to visit and whether you're planning to travel alone, with friends or as a family.

A key decision when it comes to seeking out some winter sun is whether you're willing or able to take a long-haul flight. Doing so brings all the wonders of the Caribbean into your list of possible destinations, as well as a range of other classic holiday resorts like Florida and Mexico. Booking well in advance can help you secure a really excellent deal on a great package but there tend also to be bargains offered shortly before a particular holiday comes close to expiration. Either way and wherever you end up visiting, you'll no doubt be very pleased you made the effort as you relax by a delightful poolside or on a beach somewhere with a warm and lovely winter sun beating down.

If you only have time for or the inclination to take on a short-haul flight in your efforts to find some winter sun then there are still a good range of options available. The hugely popular and very welcoming islands of Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria are bathed in sunshine for the vast majority of the year and their resorts are open and thriving right through the winter. Meanwhile, there are areas of Turkey, as well as Egypt and Tunisia that also offer a great deal for visitors to enjoy at any time of year and where the temperatures remain reliably high all year round.

You can find some great value all inclusive family holidays for the coming winter very easily by carrying out an online search. Using the internet to place your booking could also land you an extra discount.

Tracking down cheap Tenerife holiday deals

Tenerife is rightly regarded as a great place for families to visit on holiday and the island boasts some of Europe's most popular coastal resorts. The quality of the beaches, the cuisine, the water sports that are available and the night-life options that visitors can enjoy all help to make the island one of the best holiday destinations anywhere in the EU.

The good news for British families, loved-up couples or groups of friends planning a trip to the sunshine this year or next is that Tenerife holiday deals are consistently offered at low-cost and affordable prices. So you could soon be calmly sunning yourself by a Canary Island poolside or relaxing on one of the many spectacular beaches that run right the way around the region. There really aren't many places more perfect for family holidays and the weather is reliably scorching. In fact, Tenerife and the rest of the Canary Islands are bathed in sunshine for the vast majority of the year as they are remarkably close to the equator despite being only around four hours flight time from the UK.

Carrying out a search online is the most straightforward and reliable way to find yourself a bargain on a trip to Tenerife or to any of the Spanish islands. There are added discounts offered simply for placing your booking online and taking advantage of a last minute deal can save you significant sums as well.
Some of the most popular deals made available throughout the year are last minute Ibiza holidays, with so many night-life lovers unable to resist the temptation of joining the world-renowned party capital of the Mediterranean. There are of course plenty of family-oriented holidays available in Ibiza as well but the island looks set to remain known at least in part as a haven for sun-loving hedonists.

Low-Cost Holidays in Turkey

Turkey is a fabulous destination for every type of holiday. Whether you are looking to book bargain holidays in Turkey for a last-minute holiday or experience more of this cultural delight over a fortnight, this is one location that you won’t be in a hurry to leave.
A classic situation of East meets West, Turkey is a heady blend of ancient ruins, striking mosques and modern beachfront resorts. Here you’ll find all the sun, sea and sand you could ever need for a summer holiday, with more than enough things to see and do besides soaking up the sun.
And when it comes to affordability, Turkey wins hands down. You can book Turkey holidays to suit even the strictest of budgets - thanks to the vast range of reasonably priced accommodation and low-cost flights available.
Late deals often provide the best chance of finding a real bargain, providing you’re fairly flexible on departure dates and exact location. Tour operators often cut the price of package holidays in order to sell off those packages that are leaving within the next few days or weeks, as they generally prefer to sell the holiday for a small price rather than foot the bill for empty hotel beds.
If you just want to jet away for a few days in the sun and you’re not overly particular on which resort or hotel you stay in, this is a great way of finding a good deal. On the other hand, those who like to stay in complete control of their holiday destination whilst still bagging a bargain are best advised to book well in advance. You’ll often reap the rewards of early deals if you act fast as soon as a new brochure or season is launched - so keep an eye out on your local tour operators for details of new arrivals.

Me and My Eyeglasses

Me and my eyeglasses are like Diego and backpack. I cant go out without it. I am so tempted to use contact lenses so that I can wear sunglasses on those glary sunnydays. My optometrist said that it would be uncomfortable for me to wear contact lenses because my nearsightedness and astigmatism is to high, the lenses will be thicker than normal. Thus, I'll wear eyeglasses for the rest of my life.

When I was on my 6th grade (aged 13) I always sit on the floor on the front row just copy the lectures on the board. My teachers then asked me to go back on my seat (on the last row for I was one of those tall students) since i cant see the board, i cant copy.

On my 1st year High School, The school conducted a medical exam to all of us. When the doctor asked me to read the eye chart, I really cant read it, i think i can only read the first three lines. When i got home, i shared it to my parents and then my dad asked my mom to bring us to their optometrist (parents also wears eyeglasses). and thats the beginning of my eyeglasses life.

At first, i used lenses made of glass its so fragile, i have to change so often so we used plastic lenses. the problem with plastic lenses, its easily be scratched thus I need to change eyeglasses when it become so dull from scratches.

Good thing technology now a days are so advance, quality lenses and stylish frames are now affordable. As of today, I am wearing a titanium clad frame with ultra-thin glass lenses.

My optometrist suggested that I should use titanium frames so that it will not rust nor tarnish due to my heavy sweating and the ultra thin glass lenses will make it more stylish - thus no more thick as a magnifying lens.

My co-blogger introduced me to Cubik Eyewear. Upon seeing it on their website, its truly is affordable style and quality. They have many frames and style to chose from. As for me, i will still settle for a titanium frames for the toughness i need to face the cruel environment. As I continue browsing their site, this Cubik T101 C2 captured by appetite. I just might win Cubik eyewear simply by joining the Cubik Eyewear Blogging Contest

I want the Cubik T101 C2 because its full-rimed but its weight is like rim-less. I don't like rim-less frames because the lenses are more thicker than for full-rim so that it can became sturdy. I like it because its lightweight -its barely there. The gun metal color really makes it more manly and smart good not only on casual clothes but for formal attire as well.

Cubik eyewear have both style & quality and it also conforms and follows standards by allowing only licensed opticians and ophthalmologists to order prescription eyewear and thats peace of mind for me.

Instant Fashion Red Carpet

Wedding is a milestone in one's life. I've been invited in some weddings as a guest and as part of the entourage. For me, being a male, outfits for wedding is just simple, I'll just wear casually in short sleeved polo in slocks or ill dress formally : in a long sleeved shirt and tie or; the Philippine Barong Tagalog and its done. But as for women - as I observed - its a detailed task from choosing a perfect pair of footwear that matches an outfit to hair and make-up and nails too. I know, because I live with three women -my mother and my two sisters. The memories of my parents' 25th wedding anniversary is now at the in the back of my mind.

* faces are intentionally blurred to protect privacy and identity
** from the stock photos of sugarplumfairy-lyn

Choosing wedding outfits for women requires full attention to details. First, they will ask the bride when will be the wedding and their motif. after that they will decide weather if the dress will be: store bought; rented or; tailored. One has different pros and cons but store bought is the first choice.

Technology now is so good, you can now chose and buy online just like the wedding outfits for women at their wedding store online.

For the year 2011 alone, my mother and my youngest sister, i think, was invited for 3 to 5 weddings. My mother was invited to became one of the principal sponsors and my sisters to become guest and our mother's companion. So in every invitation, they really made it into a point that they will dress and look nicely in whatever outfit they wear. The latest wedding they attended was the photo above.

Domain and Web Hosting

I was so happy when I bought my domain name. At first, I am sad because my blog title was bought by another entity and he/she is selling it. I did not bother to check its price it might have an undesirable results - malware to high price. So I stick to my web name and thus the name behind the domain. My happines of being a "dot-com-er" is enough for me to celebrate. Its a one year contract and I need to renew it this November.

Most of Blogger events and blog giveaways offers promotional coupons and even free one-year domain name with web hosting as a prizes. My sister even got one one-year web hosting. Since we are both hosted by this platform, she cannot get the web hosting as of this moment. One time, she even gives it away to me but I have to decline. But I did asked her for we will just save it for next time. Who knows, it might be useful in the future. Further more, Web Hosting is really a good investment. Its like owning a company's stock certificates that in due time it will have a lucrative offer or rewards. My sister then agreed, we will save her Web Hosting Certificate for the rainy days.

The Next Azkals and Volcanoes

In the sports news, The Philippine Soccer Team called "Azkals" and The Philippine Rugby Team called "Volcanoes" gave their outmost effort in putting the country's name in their respective sport. I salute you guys and keep up the good work.

Whats the difference between Soccer and Rugby anyways? When I was a child, its really a big puzzle for me and I cant really understand why both are called football. The other one is kicking the ball and the other one is running the ball. Here are some thing I just found out.

Football is the most wide played sport in the world. It was called "football" or "foot ball" because its a sport on foot or a sport that needs more foot work.

Rugby is called such because it started in "Rugby School" in England. The game involves physical contact thus the uniform has this armor like padded suit and helmet. The ball is elliptical mostly brown in color and its outlawed to kick the ball thus it is held and ran towards the goal.

As for the Soccer, the ball is spherical with black and white pentagon spots. The ball is kicked or bumped using other body parts except the hands. Only the goalkeeper is allowed to touch the ball.

Soccer is not new in the country. Even before the Azkals, football stars are in the schools. There are two universities here in Manila that have two to six soccer fields. As for the Rugby, I havent seen a rugby field here but I seen some kids and teens who have a rugby ball and play fetch. Since they dont have the standard Rugby gear, they can play it in a soft manner.

Soccer matches are held every year in some schools here. The kids are so passionate to the game, they look and play like professional athletes. During these events, major sponsors pour in to make the event possible and during the games they have booths to give away promotional coupons. The kids and parents are happy to see such kind of support. These kids really feel like they are little Azkals. I seen kids running and sliding in the corridor just to practice their moves. After their game while resting, they air their sadness because of the highly priced shoes. Even if they can afford it or even if they have discount vouchers, chances are the stocks are limited almost none or the kids' size is not available. So they resort to borrowing shoes from their friends or to those who graduates from school or the most common scenario, when a big kid had out grown their shoes, they gave it to the small kids.

The Azkals and the Volcanoes lifted the kids spirit to their sport. I do hope and pray that these kids will excel in the field and for me, the only way that we can support these kids are thru our cheers and providing them the gears to help them play. A kid with a complete gear has high morale to achieve.

for the love of sea and oysters

When i was younger, i love to eat meat specially pork, beef, chicken and goat (chevon). eating such meat only means more cholesterol build-up. Every time time I recall my fondness to meat i remember a line in the movie "Finding Nemo" that goes "Fish are friends not food". but this lifestyle had changed more than two years ago.

Our family health concern was centered in two illnesses : heart problem and diabetes. Since my father died we must abstain to some meat products specially high in fats. Good thing our country the Philippines is an archipelago, we are surrounded by blue sea for the sea is abundant with life saving food such as: fish; shellfish and even plants. Our diet significantly changed. Its now less meat, more seafood.

There was a time when we are in our mother's hometown. we dipped in the pebbled shore. My sister said "there's oyster here!" when she showed it to me I immediately took out my Swiss knife and began eating oysters. We flipped every big stones to find those oysters. While om enjoying these treat i began to ask myself "how can i buy oysters online?"

I guess there is. many restaurants have seafood suppliers from far away islands and the best way to do this kind of transactions are through online. Technology now a days can perk up online seafood sales

Oh! I love blue sea, sandy beach, tan on skin, the sound of waves. I hope summer will come sooner.

Shiny Car

Since I was a child, I dreamed of having a new shiny car. My father declined to have one simply because we cant afford its up-keeping since me and my sisters are still in our schooling days. Thus my father advised me to strive hard in school so that when I graduated from college, I can have a shiny paycheck to buy and upkeep a shiny car. I'm not good at school and I'm not that bad either. Every time I see an auto while I'm inside the bus or while walking in the streets, Its amazes me and my father's words of advice is ringing in my ear.I do like cars in the like of VW new Beetle; Chevrolet Silverado; and a Ford Escape.

My cousin now resides in Texas. One time she shared to me that after they had a road trip they need to see a mechanic to check their car. After a miles of journey and fun, they got to have a break job to change the disk pads and refill its break fluid. "Wow! that means you really had a long road trip" I said. She replied "Good thing my husband felt something wrong in the car, thus we look for a dallas auto repair shop right away". Come to think about it, if they are in the middle of the road without breaks only means accidents will come to them. "better to check your car before and after a road trip, for precautionary measures" I added and she said yes in reply.

I dearly miss my cousin, I'm happy that she is happy in her new life in Texas.

Cakes and Coffee

As a coffeeholic and chocoholic, I really love this moment of enjoying a hot mug of coffee and a serving of chocolate pastry.

One time when I was in Cagayan de Oro City, I stayed on the coffee shop while waiting for my Girlfriend from her gym workout. That coffee shop has many cake stand lined up full of very tempting cake slices, pies and cookies. After a few sips of my coffee, I really can’t resist of having a cake slice. I approached the counter and ordered for a moist chocolate cake, which sits on this very elegant counter display. I waited for a few minutes and the waitress served my order on a stoneware dessert plate.

I ate my cake a teaspoon at a time, enjoying every bite of it. After a few more minutes, my phone rang upon receiving a text message from my Girlfriend informing me that she is coming over to see me. I replied to her that ill just be the one to pick her up on the gym. I placed back my phone on my bag and to my dismay upon seeing my camera; I forgot to take a photo of this heavenly experience.

From this experience, I formulated of this plan. My Girlfriend’s family also loves cakes and coffee. My plan is to buy a cake, then upon reaching on their home, we will brew coffee and let the conversation going while setting the table with coffee cups and mugs. I hope on this moment we can get to know each other more and better. I hope that this plan will come true sooner that I prayed for.

Me and my Shirts

I'm a kind of person who is so meticulous about my clothes. I don’t want shirt designed to give loud statements. Every time I go to the mall, I see people wear has this kind of personalized t-shirts that has loud and offensive statements. I love to wear shirts that is plain and simple or with geometric figures or stripes. Call it "out-fashioned" but still simple is elegant. I prefer to wear shirts and jeans and hiking sandals.

When you go check my shirts on my cabinet, you can see more of these customized t-shirts. Souvenir shirts from travels that has prints about the place and Conference shirts that I attended to which has designs similar to a motivational posters.

Lately, I realized that my wardrobe must now have a major overhaul or a makeover. Scouting in the mall for new shirts is very frustrating. Now only of the price but also of its designs and its size. Now I had this idea, to have a customized t-shirts to be it more personalized.

I didn't had the chance to buy souvenir shirts due limited stock of extra large sized shirts (XL). They have XL but the design doesn’t suit for my taste. That is why I this idea to have a personalized t-shirts. Ill submit a photo of the design of what I have and in just minutes I have a new shirt that suites me. I can even have environmental issues themed shirts like Save the Gulf t-shirts to call awareness of oil spill damage.

Isn’t it great idea? What do you think?
