Delicious Mornings with Italianni’s

Simple but scrumptious, the Baked Ham and Cheese Bread Bowl is the perfect morning starter - strips of cured ham and sliced shitake mushroom in warm cheese sauce topped with a sunny-side up egg and served in a freshly baked bread bowl.

Guests will also love Country-style Chorizo & Beans, an old-fashioned Italian breakfast that satisfies one’s craving for a filling meal that’s savory, salty, and sweet. It has chorizo and beans topped with two eggs then baked to perfection and served with grilled Tuscan bread.

Meanwhile, Chef Boutwood puts his own gourmet spin to the classic hash brown, bacon and egg combo with the Three Cheese Potato Rosti Cups. Italianni's New 'Taste of Italy" Dishes

The passion and flair that Italians are known for are evident, not only in their culture and the arts, but in their cuisine as well. Antipastos and primos lovingly tease the palate ; secondos are savory, they immediately satisfy while dolces are decadent, you could not afford to miss a mouthful.

The delectable dishes of Italy come alive in Italianni’s new offerings collectively known as “Tastes of Italy.” Created by Bistro Corporate Chef, Josh Boutwood, these were inspired by the authentic flavors of the region using fresh ingredients. What’s more, they are available in big servings that are made for sharing, staying true to the Italian tradition of celebrating with family and friends over mounds of food on the dining table.

Start off with Osso Bucco di Fattoria, a Milanese specialty of veal shanks braised in a richly-flavored sauce of vegetables and wine. Served on a bed of polenta, it is rustic and comforting which explains why Chef Josh chose to add fattoria (farm) to its name.

The heartiness of Italian cuisine is also apparent in Agnello Brasato, lamb shanks cooked in a robust mixture of vegetables, red wine and other seasonings. Choose between creamy polenta or garlic mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious sauce.

Dining at Italianni’s is not for the faint-hearted, especially when feasting on hearty meat dishes like pancetta or Italian pork belly. Chef Josh has prepared the Pancetta Croccante e Vongole which are crispy fried pork ribs and Manila clams served with Arancini (or Italian rice croquettes).

The vast coastline of Italy also presents a great opportunity for relishing seafood. Italianni’s introduces the Parmesan & Garlic crusted Atlantic Cod, a light but filling fish dish seared with lemon potatoes and little neck clam sauce. And while you’re at it, have your favorite glass of wine with the Pan-Seared Peppered Fish. Italianni’s has opted for the popular Tilapia and melded it with mixed fresh almond infused pappardelle, artichoke, sundried tomatoes and olives.

Buffalo Wild Wings Opening this December 2014

Things are about to heat up for food lovers and local sports fans with the Philippine opening of Buffalo Wild Wings, known for its exciting sports viewing atmosphere. Its namesake being Buffalo, NY-style chicken wings served with one of 18 mouth-watering signature sauces and seasonings, spiced up with its wide selection of beers. The first Philippine branch of this international restaurant chain will be launched at Capitol Commons in Pasig City this December.

It was in 1982 when Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery founded Buffalo Wild Wings, shortly after the two friends moved to Ohio from Buffalo. Driven by their craving for New York’s popular bar food which was nowhere to be found in Ohio, Jim and Scott opened their own wing joint instead near The Ohio State University campus.

Three decades later, the modest wing joint has grown into an influential brand with over 1,040 locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and soon the Philippines.

‘Tex-Mex’cellence - The Talk Of The Tavern

A mix of authentic Mexican and Spanish dishes prepared Texas-style, Tex-Mex cuisine has found its way to the tables of Village Tavern, prepared by award-winning Bistro Corporate Chef, Josh Boutwood. And they’re excellent.

Tex-Mex is a well-loved fusion of Texan, Mexican, Southwestern and Spanish dishes considered as American regional cuisine from the 1800s.

Crossing the border with cheesier, chili-er and meatier choices are Chef Josh’s latest 9 creations for Village Tavern. Folded in half but a whole lot of flavor, Village Tavern’s take on the classic quesadilla has brisket and ox tongue. The Ox Tongue Tacos boasts of braised ox tongue smothered with a rich combination of zesty chipotle pepper sauce to complete the lip-smacking picture. The Brisket Quesadilla, on the other hand, puts together succulent slivers of beef spiced with cumin and coriander for that beefed up quesadilla goodness.

And holy guacamole! What’s all these quesadillas without a dip or topping? Village Tavern’s Hand Hacked Guacamole is the best thing that has ever happened to fresh chunky avocados seasoned with spices and lime and served with corn tortilla chips.

Village Tavern's 18 New and Sumptuous Culinary Creations

From small plates, pizza, pasta, steaks, desserts and other scrumptious dishes in between, there’s something that awaits guests with varying tastes at Village Tavern.

18 new dishes, created by talented chefs (Village Tavern International’s Corporate Chef, US-based Grace Viado, Bistro Group’s Corporate Chef Josh Boutwood and new Bistro R & D chef Jason Stacy), now grace the restaurant’s menu. With three culinary stalwarts sharing their expertise to plump up Village Tavern’s food offerings, the results are exceptional.

Guests can feast on Three-Cheese Elote, a “small plate” that is perfect to nibble on while sipping your favorite drink. The appetizer section of the menu, meanwhile, gets a boost with the Cowboy Chips and Pimiento Cheese Fondido.

For those who are partial to food that is healthy and green, Village Tavern offers the classic Cobb Salad, VT Market Salad, and this my personal favorite the Marble Potato Tuna Salad.

Now, on to flatbread, pizza and pasta. The new selection includes the Three Cheese Smoked Bacon Flatboard, Bacon and Chicken Pesto Pizza and for your pasta fix, Chorizo Bolognese and Pappardelle al Vongole.

Village Tavern is a place for some serious eats featuring classic American dishes and with this in mind, its three top-rate chefs introduced tavern specialties like French Cut Pork Chop, Honey Mustard Pork & Ribs, Bacon-Wrapped Salmon and Gruyere Cheese Mustard Sauce and Buttered-Seared Halibut.

Naturally, a visit to the restaurant will not be complete without tasting its steaks, particularly the new and succulent 14-oz T-Bone that will capture the heart of any discerning meat lover.
