Taste my Cooking # 13: Food Trip # 25 : beef broccoli and snow peas

AND

beef broccoli and snow peas

sunday night is family dinner night at my GF's house, and let me share to you the 4th of 6 dishes on that feasty night.

the 1st dish is here.
the 2nd dish is here.
the 3rd dish is here.

me and my GF made a deal, that ill cook one dish for this occasion. i said yes w/o hesitations BUT i cant hide my nervousness. yes i do cook but its bland (less or no salt) that's why I'm so nervous they might not like my dish/cooking.

i decided to do this dish simply because its so simple. right? i added snow peas (chicharo) so that our budget will not hurt us that much. lets face it, a bunch of broccoli is a fortune even in Baguio City.

the verdict? they liked it, most specially her aunt.

same here, sometimes i don't like cooking for other people since they might say that my cooking is bland, lol. that looks yummy! oo nga, ang mahal na ng broccoli! i think this would taste great with bell peppers, too! nakakagutom ... and it's already way past midnight! :)

thanks for playing again, Jay
hope it's not raining cats and dogs there. :)

ps. thanks for naming the cake; no wonder it reminded me so much of black forest cake. lol

I guess you did a great job, bec the snowpeas still look so crisp and the broccoli is still green to show it's freshness!

broccoli is one veggie i regularly buy and eat. yes, after the typhoon, Baguio veggies have become more expensive but i love broccoli...kaya pikit-mata na lang pag bumili. the sweet bell pepper is 60 pesos each--can you imagine???

fave ko ang broccoli pero tama ka that's a fortune now! i'm not much into beef pero when it's with broccoli i love it! so na-impress na sila hehehe! with your passion for food i think magaling magluto siguro humble ka lang kaya sabi mo bland hahaha!

I missed broccoli. I haven't eat that very nutritious vegetable since I came back. In Hongkong, I eat almost everyday even I will just blanch it. Sarap talaga! Happy weekend
