if my memory serves me right
"Nazarene" is an image of Jesus Christ who is on red robe and carries a cross on His knees. "nazarene" came from the phrase "Jesus of Nazareth". We Filipino devotees call Him "Nazareno".
one prominent image is called "black nazarene" because of its color due to its charred wood. the original color is white or the wood's natural color. but one time, it was caught fire, it became charred black.wikipedia will explain more here.
Have a Great Wednesday to all of us :D

I have been raised with the Bible, which was read after dinner almost every night, but I never realised Nazarene came from Nazareth!
Good N!
Nice one!!I love the photo!!^_^
If I'm recalling correctly, Nazareth was one place Jesus wasn't all that successful. "Isn't he Mary and Joseph's boy?" From that, that saying about it being hard to make it in your own hometown.
Very interesting and informative post! Thanks for sharing.
