three weeks ago (09 October 2009) i presented to you what we had for sunday dinner (30 August 2009) when i visited my pangga's home. if you can still recall my entry last week (23 October 2009) was my share on the spread. and for this week's entry, let me present to you the desserts made by mySweet pangga.
as i said last week, me and myGF agreed to have a share on this dinner - ill cook one dish and she will make the desserts. and here are her share which she made the night before (saturday) so that she can chill it overnight for the next day (sunday)
she and her family call this "knox" taken from the brand name of the most important ingredient - yes! the unflavored gelatin. she mixed all ingredients - fruit cocktail, cream and condensed milk - then she dissolved the unflavored gelatin and simmered it. mixed in the fruit salad and let it set on the fridge overnight. and its looks like cathedral windows when set.
she made a new batch of fruit salad but this time, without the gelatin, and let it chilled overnight.
the next day (sunday), after visiting the Divine Mercy Shrine in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, her parents seen a stall selling coconuts, and bought about 6 pieces. when we arrived, the first 3 became drinks (coconut juice) for our lunch and the remaining 3 went to her fruit salad thus it became buco salad instantly.
wow! that dinner is so superb! lami kaayo (so yummy)!!!
