Danggit Bai!!!


This is my second fave dried seafood. My first is Dried Squid. Since squid is not applicable to this theme and I don't have a photo of it either, thus this will be my take on this theme.

Danggit (rabbitfish or spinefoot) is Cebu's Pride on dried fish. Cebu being an island has many variety of dried fish, but I love this one the most.



This one will not be complete without a best saw-sawan(dip). And the best for danggit is this one - sukang pinakurat :) - Spiced Coco Nectar Vinegar.

I suddenly remembered I have danggit pa from pinas bigay ng umuwi hehe.

I can't sem to master the trick in cooking this kasi hindi malutong pag ako nagluto =(

First time ko nalaman about Pinakurat, though I am not much of a vinegar lover hehe.

awwww! miss ko yan! naku kainis ka naman! saan ako maghahanap ng danggit? huhuhu! gusto ko yan with garlic fried rice, itlog at kamatis. danggitsilog! ;)

kakaubos lang namin nung last batch of saltless danggit from my cebu trip. pero madami pa kaming pinakurat. and we're having that with inihaw na hito this lunch. yummm!!!

ano yung sukang pinakurat? what's the difference sa sukang iloko? ngayon ko lang narinig yan a.

pag galing sa cebu, hindi pwedeng walang pasalubong na danggit.:D da best yan for breakfast, with fried rice, tomato and kape on the side. mannnn, nakataas pa ang paa habang lumalafang! hahaha

i love danggit! bumili ako niyan nung nagbakasyon ako sa capiz this year. pero kakaiba yung sawsawan...never tried it before! sa cebu lang ba yan? hindi ko yan nakita sa mga grocery store sa manila! haha.

danggit!!!! sarap! my stock of danggit is now in the freezer kc it started to get all moldy na ata haha! sana pwede pa...alam mo i've never tried that pinakurat vinegar na yan...heard so much about it...
