Food Trip # 03 : Kilaw

What's the sense of traveling places without sampling thier local specialties. Food that makes the place known for and the other way around. This is my Food Trip, where visiting a place is not the same nor complete without eating what do locals are proud of. I will make a blog entries regarding the food I tasted during my travels in this meme so do please visit every Friday and the Food Friday Meme.

My featured menu for today:
Kilaw
Ceviche

Kilaw or Kinilaw is the Cebuano/Visayan word for Ceviche. In this dish, they mixed up: Onions; tomatoes; chili peppers; ginger and Tanigue; soaked in Vinegar.

Town / City : Lapu-Lapu City
Province: Cebu
Resto / Food place : Manna Sutukil, Lapu-Lapu Shrine, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu

All photos herein are captured using Canon Powershot A1000is in Manna Sutukil, Lapu-Lapu Shrine, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu last 22nd of February 2009

Have a Great Friday to all of us Food Friday Diners :D

I love kinilaw! Sadly my hubby's sensitive tummy can't take it, he gets sick if he eats that food.
