Sea Urchins are aboundant in La Union, more particularly in the town of Balaoan. The said town has a dedicated culture site, yup! is a fish pen for sea urchins.
i don't like this seafood. its too salty for me, its like drinking sea water. we just simmer this on boiling water for about 5 minutes and crack its shell with a knife. its pearly roe is the most prized one and the most delicious part.
