Ostrich BBQ
INTRO
Last January 9, 2010, i attended a friend's wedding in Cagayan de Oro City. MyGF and her mother had their hair and make-up done, me and myGF's dad is in their car cruising around the city to get his Barong (Filipinos most formal male garment) we came across to this one very inviting billboard sign.
i immediately forgot my manners in exclaiming "wow! they serve ostrich, i want to try that". her dad agreed and promised "you want that? tomorrow lets have our dinner there".
the next day, true to his words, her dad instructed myGF for us to meet them in Cusina de Oro after their tennis game. me and my GF had our mall tour first then we proceeded to the said resto and before we come inside, i took that photo.
for the next 5 weeks starting June 02, 2010 ill be sharing to you our meals on this resto.
third dish is 'Ostrich BBQ'. sorry for a low quality photo. as i viewed it on my camera, it looks good but when i uploaded it on the PC, to my shock its not that good. here's the story.
this meal is not mine but for my GF's sister. when this was served, i immediately took its photo. im so ashamed to let her wait to eat this tasty dish. so after about 3 photos, the best photo was this :( i really promised myself that ill go back to Cusina de Oro for a vengeance. speaking of which, i hope ill be there again sooner than i prayed for.
as for the taste. well, sadly, since its not mine, i haven't tasted it. i cant remember if she shared the last bite or not BUT nevertheless, ill share to you my ostrich meal next week. a meal really fits for my "serving size" preference. but for now, this meal is priced per stick and every plate has a serving of atchara (pickled papaya) a great compliment to any grilled meat.
