Corazon as i know it is the Spanish term for heart. For us Filipinos (people of the Philippines) Corazon is a commonly used name for a girl.
Corazon is also the name of a lady who stood against the stronghand, and she is Corazon "Cory" Aquino. She became the President of the Philippines from February 25, 1986 until June 30, 1992. She is considered the "mother of Philippine" democracy.
i admit, when i was a child, im not a fan of her, but now im a grow-up man, i just realized the turn of events that happened during her term as president, made me a new fan. some of this event (but not limited to) which i personally experience are: the rights of Women and Children; public order and safety; Democracy; Freedom of the Press and Mass Media; greater faith to God and country; integrity in public service; employees' benefits; public service.
on this day 05 August 2009, she will be laid to rest but her legacy to the Filipino people will continue.
Thank you madam Corazon, for giving us democracy, morality in service and meaning of being a Filipino. You are truly a Corazon, the heart of the Filipino and of our country.

Hers was an amazing life, and someone that appeared to bring peaceful change, after her own personal tragedy, that changed her, and your country's path.
I'm glad to learn more about this remarkable woman from someone who has experienced the changes she brought.
I know nothing about Cory, but from what you say, she made some pretty important and far-reaching changes. She should be revered.
may her soul rest in peace. she is indeed a remarkable woman who made history.
Thank you for this history about an amazing woman who brought so many changes to your country.
I like that name, too, and since I'm now learning Spanish I'll add it to my list of vocabulary.
I'm writing about Cory in my blog tomorrrow. she was inspirational.
Same here. We will truly miss her.
Thank you for the history of an amazing woman.
Peace and blessings to you and your country,
Sherry
