ABC Wed R5 : the letter "K"

K is for
Kit Kat

My Girlfriend knows that i am a Chocoholic same as her. and every time we meet, she asks me if i want some chocolates. and i sweetly say i do love to have some.

When we met last February in Cebu City, she gave me the usual Kit Kat Bar. on our next meeting, which was last 26 August 2009, she gave me this kind of Kit Kat, which is a new variant.

The usual Kit Kat is in bars of 2 or 4 sticks per bar. for this one, its in ball form and which i dearly love more than the bar form. it comes in bites sizes thus i enjoyed it more; and a resealable ziplock pouch for easy storage for the remaining contents. True to its slogan "Little breaks you want to share"

Thanx pangga for sharing this chocolate to me. :"> i enjoyed eating this with you and with your parents.

Have a Great Wednesday to all of us :D

Food Trip # 20 : at Cagayan Mandarin Tea Garden

AND

Lunch Date
at Cagayan Mandarin Tea Garden

After our - me and my Girlfriend - city tour in Cagayan de Oro, we desided to have our early lunch date in Robinson's Place Cagayan. she suggested this place, the Cagayan Mandarin Tea Garden, a chinese-pinoy cuisine resto.

i ordered soda in can and Squide Curry Rice (left) and she had watermelon shake and Beef Brisket (right).

here's a closer look.

My squid is so yummy and i can really taste the kick of curry. and the squid is tender.

her watermelon shake is so good, it like eating a fresh watermelon. and the beef brisket is good too.

overall, the service and the ambiance is nice. the food is great that made me feel like ordering some more. what i don like is they served it on steel bowls w/c to me is not close to authentic chinese, if they only serve it on china or stone ware bowls, ill definely enjoy my meal more.

once again, daghan salamat(thank you very much) pangga for bringing me in this food place, i like it. and thanx for the lovely lunch date too :">

Have a great weekend :D

Litratong Pinoy # 76 : Palengke (market)

in english :

before anything else, let me post this link to my entry last week (LP Karatula)

these are the two of many well-known markets in Cagayan de Oro City, the Carmen and Cogon Markets.

they are on different locations and whats made me happy to see is their signages, it has the same format. even its bulding and paint job is almost the same too.

there is one more known market in Cagayan de Oro City - the Agora Market - but i wasnt able to take its photo because its already dark and it its under renovation. i think, that market will also look the same as these when its done.

sorry if i didnt took a photo of whats inside of these markets, we are hurrying up to go to our next activity.

Food Trip # 18 : Marang

Marang
Artocarpus odoratissimus

after our lunch at steves, we dropped by to a roadside stall to buy this fruit. before heading home. at first i thought it was "nangka" or breadfruit, since i know that its not "langka" or jackfruit based on its peel(skin). when we finally arrived, my GF's parents peeled it and let me tasted it.

its like "durian" without the smell, its like jackfruit but creamy white and its seeds is much smaller that of jackfruit. its my first time to eat it, i like it but since its my first time, it might create an upset tummy, good thing it did not.

Food Trip # 15 : Bo's Coffee Club experience

Coffee, Lovers and Coffee Lovers
coffee by Bo's Coffee Club

After our (me and my GF) romantic date, we decided to stay abit longer in Lim Ket Kai Complex not only to burn what we ate but also to spend more time to be together before going home. Even on semi-high-heeled sandals (about 2 inches i guess) we strolled happily HHWWTPSSP =))

Her mother texted her to invite us to meet us in this coffee shop they (as a family) usually go to. so we made a few more strolls then waited for them in the coffee shop. Her father treated us an order each: i had a Cappuccino; my pangga had her usual hot choco; and her parents had those Frappes. im too shy to ask for its flavors, i jaz clicked it away for this entry. we had a few exchanges of stories and magazine browsing in between. and of course, photo ops for Facebook :D

by the way, im am proud to announce that this is my FIRST time to go and drink in a coffee shop ;)) thats why while we are waiting for her parents and sister, i keep on looking around the shop in amazement and keep on telling myself "at last, finally i will order a mug and im not a passer by anymore" ;))

Food Trip # 14 : Cookies and Cream Cake

Cookies and Cream Cake
by Red Ribbon Bakeshop

This cake is given by my pangga for our Anniversary as BF/GF :"> thanx pangga :x

when we where planning our anniversary date, we straighten out: the place; the food; and itenerary before and after the said date. My pangga suggested to omit my idea on dessert for this cake so that it would be more yummier, more fun of eating it in their home and more romantic in sharing it. plus its more "practical" since its a whole cake that we and her family can enjoy it too.

sorry dear readers i cant organized my thought on how to share to you what really happned. but to give you an idea. i suggested a slice of cake served in the resto but she suggested "why not buy this cake and lets put a candle and enjoy it at home". i really love my pangga's brilliant and romantic ideas :D

Litratong Pinoy # 74 : Lansangan (city streets)

Motorela
