La.Pi.S #31: Left-Overs

button6

Left-over Fruits = Fruit Shakes

New year means fruits are offered for good luck and providence. Thus many will be left over in the coming days since munching on fruits is not our thing BUT.....

dunking the fruits into the blender - is what we do love most - I blended all fruits with no water nor ice so that ill get all natural juices. I add sugar too. so this......

will become this....

:) I pour it on glasses with ice :) pretty clever ah?

in our home, if we don't shake/blend the fruits it will be only be put to waste :))

fruits we blended so far and its verdict:

Apple + Banana + Kiwi = Best
Pineapple + orange = Good & pulpy
Watermelon + Melon = Good
Watermelon + Melon + Cucumber = :( bitter ; featured pix above
Pineapple + Cucumber = not good but not bad neither

that's also what i do! i turn leftover fruits into fruit shakes, except for bananas which i use to make muffins.

Jay, I also love fruit shakes (but I like mine the slush type). Thanks for sharing what fruits/vegetables go well with each other. I'll make sure to try these soon (Gulp, gulp pa naman ang theme natin next week.)

i thought of doing this for my left-over fruits too, but i opted out for the muffins :o).. this is so nutritious and refreshing. Did peel and take out the seeds before blending them? Was just wondering why your shake with cucumber came out bitter.
